This is my favourite passage from Roald Dahl.
I’ve always loved his stories. A mixture of adventure, fear, morals and excitement that can teach children some of the wonders, and frights, in the world.
And we at høpp think this passage works just as well for businesses.
If your business has ugly thoughts, it does begin to show on your face. The face of your culture begins to look ugly, to your people and to your customers and suppliers.
So we say, go read Matilda, or Willy Wonka or any other of Dahl’s marvellous creation. And put a smile on your face.
Don’t be ugly.
